About This Event
This pilot program combines traditional healing methods and mindfulness. Over two days, participants take part in talking circles, silence, storytelling, nature walks and more.
Developed by Two Rivers CDC with funding from 4Culture, the program serves Native American veterans in King County. Traditional Native teachings are an integral part of stress reduction to improve balance: emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually.
The program includes both indoor and outdoor activities, so please dress appropriately for the weather.
Participation Guidelines
- Limited to 10 participants committed to attending both days
- Lunch and snacks provided; dietary restrictions accommodated at registration
- Service dogs only; no ESAs or pets
- No weapons or drugs on the grounds
- Cell phones remain in vehicles except during breaks
An extended version of this program is planned for spring 2027.
